By vim-cmd /hostsvc/maintenance_mode_enter, or set ESXi 5.x server into "Maintenance Mode".(select Inventory-->Host-->Enter Maintanence Mode) to enter the maintenance mode. 6). Verify that your driver module shows up under the /usr/lib/vmware/vmkmod/ directory. 8). Exit maintenance mode on the ESXi 5.x server through VMware Vsphere Client. 9). Reboot ESXi 5.x server. 10). Verify that your driver is loaded. If it is not, load the driver using the command vmkload_mod *** Notice *** Please make sure your motherboard had been listed in the HCL. We had encounted Guest OS installation problem on these non-certified boards, and this installation problem occur even no Areca card exist.
