Important note: If you find it necessary to perform downgrade after the update please note, that backup functionality will not be operational and all backups not accessible. In such a case please delete the backup database and create new one. After downgrade in case of use volume replication clear metadata on each volume with replication functionality will be necessary. Volume Replication is not compatible backwards - only works with Open-E DSS v5.0 b3007 or higher. In case of update, Japanese language will be available only after small update. Please note that it is not recommended to use NIC's with different chipsets in one Bond. New version of Open-E DSS will provide administrator with additional information about this situation.

• Fixed schedule snapshot problem
• Fixed backup backwards compatibility
• Fixed problem with creating 256 luns

KNOW ISSUES:

• Replication of volumes is not working between 32 and 64bit versions
• In 64bit system mode VERITAS backup agent is not working. Please do not switch to 64bit system if you are going to use VERITAS backup agent.
• 64bit system configuration is not preserved after update. If you use 64bit system, please change 32bit to 64bit manually. When system boots, please press TAB key in order to get into Boot menu. Please select 64bit system. Once the system is up and running please press "hot-hey" ctrl-alt-t on the system console and then select: Boot options-->Select system architecture, now with SPACE key markup desired 64bit system and Apply. Then please select Save changes.
• Myricom is not working in case of testing kernel 64 bit operating mode
• In case of problems with running "Repair Filesystem" function please disable all running tasks, including Snapshot, Replication and Backup through WebGUI
• Overfilling of snapshot used to backup is reported only on virtual backup device.
• Rescan function is not working properly - in case of resize of storage connected via iSCSI Initiator, after rescan changes will be not visible. In such a case please restart the system.
• LSI Logic Console tool for configuration of RAID controllers is not working under 64bit operating mode (with 32bit kernel tool works correctly).
• Qlogic 23xx and Qlogic 24xx does not work in target mode under 64 bit kernel
• NFS locking file does not work
• Exporting of GID/UID does not work in case of being connected to domain.
